Lets Start With The Definition Shall we?
Entrepreneurship as a term necessarily
won't be in existence today without people called Entrepreneurs so I
would prefer explaining who an Entrepreneur is before we move on to talk
about Entrepreneurship.- The word Entrepreneur is actually a French word meaning ''Undertake''.
- An Entrepreneur (
i/ˌɒntrəprəˈnɜr/),
according to The Free encyclopedia, Wikipedia is "an enterprising
individual who builds capital through risk and/or initiative". - An Entrepreneur is a person also who injects practical manifestations into economic problems hoping to provide solutions.
- An Entrepreneur usually makes use of opportunities to generate high profit over a short period of time by taking risks, with the hope of generating positive output, this shows that an Entrepreneur is different from a small business owner whose business only grows at a more slow but steady rate.
Entrepreneurship is now the act of being an Entrepreneur (can you now see why I preferred looking at an who an Entrepreneur is first?) "one who undertakes innovations, finance and business acumen in an effort to transform innovations into economic goods" (from Wikipedia, The free Encyclopedia).
Entrepreneurship is a dynamic process of vision, change and creation that requires an application of energy and passion toward the creation and implementation of new ideas and creative solutions.
Entrepreneurship doesn't just involve having opportunities, it is mostly concerned with discovering more of these opportunities and bringing about profitable output.
What the entrepreneur
does is to discover and exploit opportunities, before he does this he has to
know the problems he is facing at that time, then he can now start thinking of
how these problems can be solved.
Entrepreneurs are usually seen as
people of high class and level in society but just a basic understanding of
what Entrepreneurs do should tell us that an Entrepreneur is just basically
anyone wanting to work for himself or herself.
